Death of Elijah Berry
An interesting protracted meeting closed this week, with several conversions, at Post Oak Grove Church. Death entered the encampment taking from Mr. and Mrs. Marion Berry their oldest and most obedient child, Elijah, age fifteen. He was thought well of by all his acquaintances; for he desired to shun all evil temptations. As a pupil, he was prompt, energetic and honest. He gave his teachers no trouble. To the bereaved family, we extend our warmest sympathies.

Mr. John R Jones aged 81 years died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dollie Longacre, at Dallas last Thursday, November 11, 1915.
Funeral service was conducted at Rock Church cemetery last Saturday with Masonic honors.
Mr. Jones was an old citizen of Hood county, having come here in 1859, and has been actively identified with the best interest of the county during all these years. In an early day he was an official of the county, having served as tax assessor, county commissioner and perhaps in other capacities.
He is a brother of Mrs. J. L. C. Long of Granbury, Mr. and Mrs. Long attending the funeral last Saturday, as did also Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Wilson of this city.
